http://vaultblog.sourcegear.com/articles/2009/07/01/beta-2-is-out en-us 40 Upcoming changes and additions to SourceGear products <p>I’m happy to announce that the final beta release of Vault 5.0 and Fortress 2.0 is available for download now.&#160; You can get the beta from the <a href="http://sourcegear.com/vault/downloads.html" target="_blank">usual</a> <a href="http://sourcegear.com/fortress/downloads.html" target="_blank">places</a>.&#160; Beyond the release notes, there were a few things that I think need to be highlighted.</p> <p><strong>The web client redesign</strong>.&#160; At last, our web client looks are brought up to the level of its functionality.&#160; You may not realize this, but our old design was the result of a <a href="http://www.ericsink.com/item_10168.html" target="_blank">contest</a> back in 2004.&#160; The old design hadn’t aged well, and became more and more difficult to maintain.&#160; The new design is easier to use, and easier to maintain.&#160; For a tour of the new web client, check out <a href="http://blog.roub.net/2009/07/beta_2_is_coming_lets_take_a_l.html" target="_blank">Paul’s Blog</a>.</p> <p><strong>Click to edit</strong>.&#160; Work item fields can now be edited in place.&#160; Just click the field, and start editing.</p> <p><strong>Restore open documents and scroll positions on an unshelve</strong>.&#160; Now, when you shelve files from Visual Studio or from Eclipse, we record the scroll position and restore it when you Unshelve.
